This cable is NOT a USB 3.0.This cable is USB 2.0 compliant but offers nothing more than the standard USB 2.0 features. Not ALL USB 2.0 cables are rated High-Speed and this cable being marketed as 'High Performance' COULD mean that it was NOT certified as Hi-Speed.The newer USB 3.0 standard defines 'SuperSpeed' as ten times faster than Hi-Speed. Similar cables can be had for a lot less which is the reason for the 2-star rating. This cable has the very familiar Type A/Mini-B connectors.The USB standard lacks a definition for 'high performance'. However, USB 2.0 standard adds what it calls a 'Hi-Speed' certification, meaning a higher maximum speed of 480 Mbit/s, a great improvement over USB 1.0's 12 Mbit/s.
